A remade telling of the classic story they are selling as a prequel to the original. It stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis. A little known magician is forced to look beyond himself in order to save a land he was thrust into. When others count on and believe in him, will he find the courage to stand up to evil and protect those who need him most?

I had really high hopes for this movie as the previews looked amazing. Sadly I must say the director was more interested in the visuals than with the story telling or character development. Even watching the 2D version you could tell that there were sequences they placed in the movie solely for the purpose to visually wowing the audience in 3D. I would wait for this movie to come out on rental and see it then. If you watch movies solely for their 3D aspects they you might be happy although I can't confirm as I still refuse to see movies in 3D.
