So I finally got to watch Jack Reacher. I got it pretty much the day it was released on Blu-ray but things kept coming up that preventing me from sitting down to watch it. I must say, this movie was not what I thought it was. Not having read the book or any synopsis of the movie, I was basing my opinion solely on the trailer and the write up on the back of the movie box.

Jack Reacher is an ex-Military cop who is asked for by name and becomes the lead investigator in a murder investigation after an ex-Military sniper apparently goes on a shooting rampage in a public area, killing 5 innocent people. Reacher's past involvement with the shooter and his pure hatred leads him to look at all the angles to the crime and soon leads him down a path others didn't expect to be heading.

My Review
I expected this to be an action film but ended up getting a who-dun-it drama. It was well done and they did a nice job at building the pieces to the puzzle along the way. The dialogue was a little more monotone than I would have liked but the story line was solid enough to let you look past it. Tom Cruise's character (Jack Reacher) had a little bit of his character from "Knight and Day" in it but not quite as quirky.

With bad dialogue delivery, intriguing plot line, and Tom Cruise this movie has enough going on that you won't be truly disappointed if you watch. I'll tell you right now, don't sit down thinking this is going to be an action movie as I did because that's not what you'll get. Overall though, the movie was good and I'll probably watch it again, even if it's on a plane from my included digital copy.

I give Jack Reacher a B-/B. I guess it would just depend on my mood when I sit down to watch it.
